By moving his King’s bishop from F1 to B5, he has backed the World Team in to a corner on only his third move of the tournament. All is not lost, however, for the embattled World Team as options are available to escape this aggressive move by the World Champion. Two of the world team coaches, Irina Krush and Elisabeth Pähtz have recommended the same move, 3…Knight to D7, which could sacrifice the World Team’s Queen’s knight, but rescue their threatened King and ultimately be stronger for black.
