SuperStation One
The SuperStation One is an FPGA console that recreates the original Sony PlayStation in hardware rather than through software emulation. It was created by Taki Udon and is built around an Intel Cyclone V FPGA. The system plays PlayStation games and works with original controllers and memory cards through its dual PS1 SNAC ports, and it can run other systems using MiSTer FPGA cores.
The console offers a wide range of video outputs, including HDMI, VGA, component, composite, and DIN10, along with analog and TOSLINK digital audio. It includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an NFC reader with Zaparoo support, and an IO expansion slot. Its bundled Console Mode software provides the interface and is updated over time.
An optional expansion, the SuperDock, adds a tray-loading DVD-RW drive, an internal NVMe M.2 slot, extra USB ports, a SNAC bypass port, USB-C debug and PC modes, and an infrared remote receiver. Together the two pieces aim to turn an FPGA recreation into a full living-room console for original-hardware PlayStation play.
