POCG VERDICT
Great immersion, if you survive the assembly.
BSG Labs' Intensor chair is as immersive as it is infuriating to put together. Once assembled, the subwoofer thump enriches every explosion, but you'll earn every rumble with sweat and stripped screws.
About This Hardware

The BSG Laboratories Intensor Gaming Chair is an immersive gaming peripheral designed to bring physical feedback to PC games. Released around 1999, it consisted of a molded plastic chair with a built-in amplifier, connected to the computer's sound card. The optional subwoofer unit could be attached to provide low-frequency vibrations, making the chair rumble with in-game explosions and engine roars. The chair featured a hydraulic height adjustment, a five-point star base with casters, and a foldable clamshell design that encased the user. Assembly was notoriously challenging, requiring significant dexterity and patience, as the instructions were sparse and some parts required modification to fit correctly. Despite the setup hurdles, the Intensor offered a unique level of immersion for its time, particularly with the subwoofer. The chair is now a vintage curiosity, rarely seen on the used market.
