Gore-soaked sequel with a killer arsenal and a story so thin you'll forget it between rooms.

POCG VERDICT
Carnage in its purest form, but somebody forgot the story and the netcode.
Blood II strips the FPS down to shooting, gibbing, and repeating. A glorious arsenal and dark comedy carry a dumb campaign and broken online play.
About This Game

Blood II: The Chosen is a first-person shooter developed by Monolith Productions and published by GT Interactive in 1999. It is the sequel to the 1997 cult classic Blood, and continues the story of Caleb, an undead gunslinger who now finds himself battling the resurrected Cabal cult in a dystopian near-future setting. The game runs on Monolith's own LithTech engine (the same technology that powered Shogo: Mobile Armor Division) and features a single-player campaign spread across roughly thirty levels, with four playable characters, Caleb, Ophelia, Gabriella, and Ishmael, each possessing unique abilities and weapon proficiencies. Multiplayer, branded as 'Bloodbath', supports LAN play with customizable character stats, but the initial release's online play was heavily criticized for poor performance. Blood II emphasizes fast-paced, gore-soaked action over narrative complexity, and is notable for its arsenal of over a dozen inventive weapons, many of which can be dual-wielded.
