POCG VERDICT
A thousand hours of content. Most of it walking.
Dark Age of Camelot is a massive, astonishingly deep MMORPG that I just can't love. The grind to 50 is a part-time job, but the world it builds is undeniable.
About This Game

Dark Age of Camelot is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Mythic Entertainment and released in October 2001. Set after the death of King Arthur, players choose from three realms, Albion, Midgard, and Hibernia, each with unique classes, races, and geography. The game pioneered Realm vs Realm (RvR) combat, where players from each realm fight over territory and relics, culminating in large-scale battles. Alongside RvR, PvE content includes questing, monster slaying, and dungeons. The game features extensive crafting professions, player housing, and a robust economy. DAoC received critical acclaim for its innovative PvP system, deep content, and strong community. It remains active, having transitioned to a free-to-play model with ongoing updates.
