Freedom Force
Freedom Force is a real-time tactical role-playing video game developed by Irrational Games and published by Electronic Arts in 2003. Set in a Silver Age comic book world, the game lets players control a team of customizable superheroes fighting villains in a series of discrete missions, or 'issues'. The game is notable for its over-the-top comic book aesthetic, highly destructible environments, and an extensive hero creation system that allows near-limitless customization of powers and appearance. The single-player campaign spans thirty-eight scenarios, and the game also includes a deathmatch multiplayer mode. Freedom Force received mixed reviews, with praise for its style, humor, and ambition, but criticism for its control issues and weak AI.
