The Force is strong with this one. Half-Life just got dethroned.

POCG VERDICT
The new FPS champion. Half-Life, you had a good run.
Jedi Knight II is a blast of pure Star Wars that puts you inside the mind of a Jedi. Flawed in spots, but the lightsaber, the Force, and the John Williams score make it a must-buy.
About This Game

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a first- and third-person action game developed by Raven Software and published by LucasArts in March 2002. Powered by the Quake III Arena engine, it continues the story of mercenary-turned-Jedi Kyle Katarn. Players begin with only conventional firearms but soon regain Force powers and a lightsaber, blending first-person shooter combat with third-person lightsaber duels. The single-player campaign spans a variety of locations, including Imperial outposts, the jungle moon Yavin IV, the city streets of Nar Shaddaa, and the cloud city of Bespin. The game features a mix of environmental puzzle-solving, platforming, and combat against stormtroopers, alien mercenaries, and Dark Jedi. Multiplayer supports several game modes, including free-for-all, team deathmatch, and Capture the Flag, with customizable Force power allocations. Jedi Outcast was widely praised for its lightsaber combat, Force mechanics, and faithful Star Wars atmosphere, though its later patches significantly altered the multiplayer balance, drawing criticism from the community. A sequel, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, followed in 2003.
