About This Game

Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Trecision and published by Team 17 for Windows 95/98. Set in the year 2099, players step into the trenchcoat of Joshua Reev, an ex-army lieutenant turned private eye, tasked by his old friend and acting mayor Hugh Martens to investigate a missing police officer who infiltrated a terrorist cell in the dystopian Union City. The game features hand-drawn cyberpunk visuals, FMV cutscenes, a mouse-driven interface with a unique right-click instant travel shortcut, and a puzzle system praised for its logical design and gradual difficulty curve. Released in 1999, Nightlong draws inspiration from William Gibson's works and classic noir, offering a self-contained detective story that can be completed in about a week.
