POCG VERDICT
A landlord sim with psychic sheep and stress-based evictions. Absolutely bonkers, absolutely brilliant.
One Piece Mansion is a landlord simulator where you use stress vibes to evict criminals. It's unlike any puzzle game you've ever played.
About This Game

One Piece Mansion is a 1999 action/puzzle game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation. Players take on the role of Polpe, a young man whose sister Puchika has been kidnapped by the evil sheep Chocopape. To win her back, Polpe must manage an apartment building and withstand the stress of tenancy. The building is invaded by the Syndicate 5, criminals who increase stress and drive out tenants. Gameplay involves placing tenants in a gridded apartment building; each tenant emits a "vibe" in up to eight directions that affects the stress levels of neighboring apartments. Positive vibes reduce stress, while negative vibes raise it. The goal is to keep tenants happy long enough to collect rent, while using stressful tenants to drive out invading foes. Boss battles occur when Syndicate 5 leaders attack, requiring careful placement to counteract their psychic disruptions. The player must manage a money meter; tenants moving out cost $1,000, and running out of funds leads to a game over. The game features stylized anime-inspired art, a humorous tone, and an unconventional blend of puzzle and strategy. It was released in Japan in 1999 and in North America in 2000.
