POCG VERDICT
The single-player FPS that makes multiplayer irrelevant.
Tron 2.0 is the neon-drenched, disc-slinging FPS that finally does justice to the original film. Its single-player campaign is 40 hours of gorgeous, inventive fun; the multiplayer, on the other hand, is a total afterthought.
About This Game

Tron 2.0 is a first-person shooter developed by Monolith Productions and published by Buena Vista Games in 2003. Set inside a computer world inspired by the 1982 film Tron, players control Jet Bradley, a programmer digitized into the system to combat a spreading corruption. The game combines fast-paced FPS combat with light cycle races, a unique software-based inventory system, and a story that bridges the film and modern computing. Featuring vibrant neon visuals, a synthesized soundtrack, and numerous weapons called 'primitives,' Tron 2.0 received acclaim for its faithful aesthetic and inventive mechanics, though its multiplayer component was initially limited. The game uses DirectX 9 shaders for its signature glow effect and requires a compatible video card to achieve the best visual quality.
