Trophy Rivers is a fly fishing simulation game developed and published by Sierra On-Line in 2000. It is the first PC game dedicated to fly fishing, expanding on the lake-based Trophy Bass series. Players travel to five real-world North American rivers to catch trout, salmon, and steelhead using fly, bait, or spin tackle. The game features a dynamic current system where water flow affects lure presentation, requiring techniques like line mending. Game modes include quick fish with customizable conditions, tournaments with preset rules, and a career mode with escalating difficulty. Multiplayer is supported via modem, LAN, and internet. Trophy Rivers uses SVGA graphics with real-time water effects and includes force feedback joystick support. The game was praised for its atmosphere and innovation but criticized for its overly forgiving fish AI.
