Oblivion Remastered Hits Switch 2 August 11 with Full Physical Cartridge
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 11, 2026, with a Deluxe Edition that puts the full game on a physical cartridge.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 11, 2026, and the Deluxe Edition includes a proper physical cartridge with the full base game, not a code in a box. That’s a notable reversal of Bethesda’s earlier plan, and a genuine win for preservation on a platform that already mixes Game-Key Cards and real carts.
The physical Deluxe Edition also packs Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and all the extra DLC, plus a code for bonus digital armor sets. It’s priced at £59.99 while the digital Standard Edition runs £49.99. Performance targets are 900p/30fps handheld and 1080p/30fps docked with DLSS. The remaster stumbled badly on other platforms after launch and has been patched only sparingly since. That makes this Switch 2 release as much a test of Virtuos’ optimization as anything else. Put a pre-order down if you’re feeling brave, but keep expectations in check.
