Matrox Is Giving Away G400 Cards Every Week This June

Matrox kicked off a month-long web contest today, the Gigantic Matrox G400 Giveaway, running June 1 through June 30 with prizes drawn weekly for people who enter at the Matrox site. The headliner is the Millennium G400 MAX, the company’s new top-end graphics card, alongside G400 16MB cards, peripherals, and new games.

Week one’s first prize is a serious haul: a Millennium G400 MAX, a Hewlett Packard Kayak XA workstation with a 450 MHz Pentium II, Microsoft’s Combat Flight Simulator, and a SideWinder Freestyle Pro controller. Second place takes a Millennium G400 16MB and a Logitech MouseMan Wheel; third place gets the mouse. Prizes for weeks two through four will be posted on the Matrox site at the start of each week.

One catch worth flagging: entering once does not carry you through the month. You have to go back and re-enter every week, and answer a fresh round of G400 questions each time. Free hardware is free hardware, so set yourself a reminder.
