Descent 3 Hits Duplication, May Reach Stores Before June 15
Interplay says Descent 3 is in duplication and may reach store shelves ahead of its announced June 15 release date for Windows PCs.
Descent 3 is in duplication right now, and Interplay says some stores could have it on shelves ahead of the June 15 ship date originally announced. A PC game arriving early: I had to read that twice.
Developed by Outrage Entertainment, Descent 3 keeps the series’ trademark subterranean shooting but finally lets you fly out of the mines and into the open air. You will soar over the planet’s surface, tangle with enemy air and ground forces, and carry ten new weapons for taking apart the most sophisticated robots the series has fielded yet, all running on the new Fusion engine with the full 360-degree 3D movement the games are known for. It ships on CD-ROM for Windows 95, 98, and NT machines.
Descent practically wrote the book on multiplayer action, and outdoor combat stacked on top of the tunnels is exactly the sequel fans have been asking for. Check your local shelves this week; you might get lucky.
