Harley-Davidson’s Race Across America Coming to PC This Year

WizardWorks and Harley-Davidson are making a PC racing game where riders cross the country to the Sturgis rally, due out later this year.

WizardWorks, a division of GT Interactive, is partnering with Harley-Davidson Motor Company on a PC racing game called Harley-Davidson’s Race Across America, due out later this year.

The premise: a cross-country ride to the big bike rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. You saddle up your own Hog at one of three starting points, the Arizona desert, the New England countryside, or the redwood forests of California, and race to reach Sturgis as fast as possible. Standing between you and the rally are wildlife, falling rocks, tunnels, and steep climbs on narrow, slippery roads. The whole thing is built as a 3D re-creation of the classic Harley road trip.

A licensed motorcycle game about getting to a rally instead of lapping a track is at least a fresh angle. Whether dodging wildlife on a Hog counts as fun is a question for release day.
