Homeworld Ships Worldwide September 1

Sierra and Relic have set September 1, 1999 as the worldwide ship date for Homeworld, the 3D space RTS and Relic Entertainment's debut game.

Mark the calendar: Homeworld ships September 1. Sierra Studios and Relic Entertainment made it official today, committing to a simultaneous worldwide retail launch after the game’s strong showing at E3.

Homeworld is the debut game from Vancouver, B.C.-based Relic, a real-time strategy title that plays out in full 3D space and folds space combat and action into the strategic mix. RTS fans have been circling this one since the E3 reports started rolling in, myself included.

September 1. Three months. I can wait that long. Probably.
