World Fusion announces Atriarch, an all-organic online world

World Fusion is developing Atriarch, a 3D massively multiplayer persistent online game that mixes role-playing and strategy on Atriana, an alien world where everything, landscape included, is alive. The pitch: grow an alien character while leaving a real mark on the environment, the economy, and the politics of a shared persistent world.

That is the whole announcement so far, and ambition this size is easy on paper. Persistent online worlds are the gold rush of the moment, so Atriarch joins a crowded trail, but a fully organic alien setting is a hook nobody else out there has.
