Ancient Conquest Sails to Retail This Week

Ancient Conquest, the Greek mythology naval RTS from MegaMedia Australia and Re:Action Entertainment, ships to North American retail this week at $29.99.

Ancient Conquest, the Greek mythology real-time strategy game from developer MegaMedia Australia and publisher Re:Action Entertainment, is shipping now and hits North American retail and computer specialty stores this week at $29.99.

You play Jason, sailing to a distant island to bring back the Golden Fleece and lift a curse on your homeland. The hook is that this RTS happens at sea: you build a navy (including the Argo itself), recruit fellow heroes whose skills carry into your battles, and earn money while managing resources like amber, fish, and Leviathans, all while taking the fight to the barbarians and Persians who grabbed your ships and settlements. Medusa, the Cyclops, Minotaurs, Sea-Serpents, Wizards, and the Sirens all stand between you and the Fleece, with natural disasters thrown in for free.

An RTS where the map is mostly ocean and one of your harvestable resources is Leviathans? For thirty bucks, I am at least curious.
