TEN hires Nick Rush to run its free Internet games
Total Entertainment Network has named Acrophobia and After Dark creator Nick Rush its first VP of Programming to lead its free Internet game lineup.
Total Entertainment Network has created a Vice President of Programming post and filled it with Nick Rush, the Berkeley Systems veteran behind the After Dark line and the online games Acrophobia and What’s the Big Idea?. Rush will steer the free Internet games TEN is developing around entertainment, competition, and prizes, expanding the word, board, puzzle, and casino lineup that runs on a dozen partner sites including Excite, GO, Netcenter, and Sony Station.
His resume travels well: ten years at Berkeley Systems, a hand in You Don’t Know Jack The Net Show with Jellyvision, and back to back Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences awards in 1998 and 1999. Free mass market games are turning into a serious business, and TEN clearly wants the one guy who has already proven he can make them stick.
