About This Game

Super Bomberman: Panic Bomber W is a falling-block puzzle game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Super Famicom. Released exclusively in Japan in 1995, it is a spin-off of the Super Bomberman series and an adaptation of the earlier PC Engine Super CD-ROM² title Panic Bomber. Players drop coloured blocks onto a grid, matching three or more to create chain reactions and fill a meter that unleashes "Big Bombs" to attack opponents. The game supports up to four players in competitive play.

Although a later Virtual Console release brought the game to the Wii U in 2017, it remained largely inaccessible to Western audiences until its inclusion as a free update to the 2026 Super Bomberman Collection on modern platforms. This marks the first time Panic Bomber W is readily available outside Japan as part of a compilation alongside other classic Bomberman titles.
