Bandai Namco details the quality‑of‑life upgrades, graphics toggle, and difficulty options in the Switch‑bound Tales of Eternia Remastered.

Tales of Eternia Remastered

Bandai Namco has published a long list of changes coming to Tales of Eternia Remastered, set for Switch and Switch 2 this October. The update details everything from destination icons to difficulty availability changes, giving a clearer picture of how the classic PS1 RPG is being brought forward.

Highlights include a boost function to smooth progression, an auto‑save system, a battle retry option after game over, and the ability to toggle between remastered and original graphics and sound effects. A skit player and sound player are added, and the Mania difficulty is available from the first playthrough instead of being locked behind New Game+. The high‑difficulty Nereid’s Labyrinth also unlocks earlier.

These quality‑of‑life changes aim to make the adventure less opaque for newcomers while keeping the core experience intact for those who remember the original.
