Nintendo raises the Switch 2 price to $499.99 on September 1
Nintendo raises the Switch 2 to $499.99 on September 1. Costco's $499.99 member bundle beats the hike with a 256GB card and a year of NSO Expansion Pack.
Nintendo is raising the price of the Switch 2 by $50 on September 1, 2026, taking the console by itself to $499.99. The number on the box does.
Ahead of the increase, Costco is running a $499.99 member bundle that pays the new price but adds more than $100 of extras: the Switch 2, a 256GB microSD Express card that normally runs $59, and a one-year subscription to Nintendo Switch Online’s Expansion Pack tier, which costs $49.99 on its own. The Switch 2 ships with 256GB of internal storage, and with first-party games running 10 to 25GB and bigger third-party titles reaching 50GB, a microSD card is likely something you’ll need eventually.
The Switch 1 & 2 are great consoles that still offer physical copies of games. I may finally get around to picking up the Switch 2.
