THQ Nordic has released Sacred 2 Remaster on Nintendo Switch for $29.99, bringing the 2008 isometric action RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel to the console a year after the remaster reached PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Sacred 2 is set in the fantasy realm of Ancaria, where a substance called T-Energy is the source of all life and magic, and a factional struggle among the dominant High Elves has let that energy spin out of control. You pick from seven classes and follow one of two campaign paths, Light or Shadow, that cross over at points along the way. The remaster, built by Jumpgate AB and SparklingBit, folds in refined combat, high-resolution textures, improved lighting, increased view distance, a modernized interface, and every post-launch update, including the Ice & Blood expansion.
A loot-heavy open-world RPG this size running on a handheld console is the right kind of re-release: the whole point of Sacred 2 was sinking hours into Ancaria, and now you can do it on the couch or on the bus. THQ Nordic is selling it on the eShop and at retail.
