The AMD Professional Gamers' League (PGL) said that it will hold the championships of its third season in San Francisco, November 12 - 14.

PGL Season 3 Championships hit the wire on October 9, 1998. The AMD Professional Gamers' League (PGL) said that it will hold the championships of its third season in San Francisco, November 12 – 14. Coinciding with league's one-year anniversary, the Season 3 championships will feature as many players and cash prizes as the first two seasons combined.

The live finals will be held at hot new cybercafe Club-i, located in San Francisco's Multimedia Gulch, and is expected to attract several thousand spectators over the three day event. $70,000 in cash and more than $40,000 in prizes make this the richest computer gaming competition in history, PGL officials noted.A live Webcast of the finals will also be offered by the All Games Network featuring real-time coverage of the entire event.
