About This Game

Arcane Legends is a 2013 free-to-play massively multiplayer action-RPG developed and published by Spacetime Studios for iOS, Android and the Google Chrome browser, with cross-platform play across all three. The latest entry in the studio's Legends series, it casts players as adventurers in the fantasy world of Arlor, choosing among warrior, rogue and sorcerer classes and battling through dungeons, towns and open zones in a streamlined, mobile-friendly take on the dungeon-crawling MMO. Combat is fast and tap-driven, emphasising cooperative play in small party instances, loot collection, skill upgrades and steady gear progression. A signature feature is the pet system: collectible companions that fight alongside the player and grant passive bonuses, which became central to both the moment-to-moment gameplay and the game's monetisation. As a free-to-play title it offers optional purchases for premium currency, pets and convenience items, while remaining playable without spending. Arcane Legends was well received within the mobile space, praised for bringing genuine cross-platform MMO depth and persistent online play to phones and tablets at a time when few competitors did so smoothly, and for its accessible, session-friendly design. It built a durable community and received years of post-launch content updates and seasonal events, helping cement Spacetime Studios' reputation as an early pioneer of mobile MMOs.
