WWE ’13
WWE '13 is a 2012 professional-wrestling game developed by Yuke's and published by THQ for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. Part of the long-running annual WWE series (formerly SmackDown vs. Raw), it features a large roster of WWE superstars, authentic presentation, signature moves and the in-ring grappling gameplay the series is known for. Its standout feature was the 'Attitude Era' mode, a nostalgia-driven campaign that let players relive the wildly popular late-1990s 'Attitude Era' of professional wrestling, recreating iconic feuds, matches and moments involving legends like 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, The Rock and D-Generation X, complete with period presentation and historical footage. Beyond that celebrated mode, it offered the series' deep suite of features, including extensive create-a-wrestler and create-a-match customisation, the WWE Universe sandbox mode and online play. Well received, WWE '13 was praised especially for the Attitude Era mode's fan service and historical depth, regarded as a strong entry for wrestling fans. Notably, it was the final WWE game published by THQ before the company's bankruptcy, after which the franchise passed to 2K Sports and continued as the WWE 2K series. WWE '13 is fondly remembered for its nostalgic celebration of wrestling history. As the last WWE game published by THQ, it preceded the franchise's transition to 2K Sports and the WWE 2K series.
