38 Studios is delinquent on a $1.1 million payment to Rhode Island and seeking more state aid, with the governor doubting it's worth further investment.
In a follow-up to yesterday’s news, more has emerged about the finances at Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios. The studio is delinquent on a 1.1 million guarantee payment to the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, and after emergency meetings Schilling and his team are asking the state for more aid to stay afloat. Governor Chafee has openly questioned whether there’s viability worth further investment. For the team behind Kingdoms of Amalur, the outlook is suddenly very grim.
