Nexon Becomes NCSoft’s Biggest Shareholder

Nexon has bought $685 million of NCSoft shares to become its largest shareholder, a major consolidation between two online-gaming heavyweights.

Free-to-play giant Nexon has bought $685 million worth of NCSoft shares, making it NCSoft’s largest shareholder. CFO Owen Mahone recently said the company sees plenty of acquisition opportunities across North America, Asia and Europe. A deal this size between two of online gaming’s heavyweights is the kind of consolidation worth keeping an eye on.
