Wii U Pricing and Launch Date Set

Nintendo dates the Wii U for November 18th, with a $299.99 Basic set and a higher-storage Deluxe set bundling Nintendo Land.

At its preview event, Nintendo finally locked in the Wii U’s price and date. It launches Sunday, November 18th in two sets. The Basic is $299.99: an 8GB white console, the GamePad, adapters, an HDMI cable and the sensor bar. The Deluxe steps up to 32GB and adds a GamePad charging cradle, console and GamePad stands, and a copy of Nintendo Land. Now the question is whether the pitch is clear enough to sell it.
