POCG VERDICT
Deep upgrades and a track editor can't outrun slow, dull racing.
A cutesy N64 kart racer saved by deep car upgrades and a track editor, but the racing itself is slow and forgettable.
About This Game

Penny Racers is a 1999 kart racer from Takara, published by THQ, for the Nintendo 64. A cutesy Mario Kart-style game, its hooks are a huge car-upgrade system (you strip parts from trailing rivals) and a simple track editor. It released on N64.
