July 1998 keeps moving, and today the headline is simple: Creative News Release. Creative announced yesterday that the company is broadening support for Environmental Audio Extensions.

It will be providing a software driver upgrade to all of its existing retail PCI sound cards including sound cards from its subsidiary, Ensoniq for EAX. The first title to support EAX is Unreal from GT Interactive. Expect titles from Bungie, Fox Interactive, Accolade and many more soon. For PC players watching every demo, patch, driver and announcement right now, this is one more thing to keep on the board.
