Black Isle Studios, the role-playing game (RPG) division of Interplay Productions, now has announced their latest endeavor, Planescape Torment. The title will be the first computer RPG set in the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons world of Planescape, and is being developed using the real-time game system powered by the Bioware Infinity Engine from Baldur’s Gate.

The Bioware Infinity Engine houses a stunning, expansive and highly-detailed game environment with fully-rendered, non-tiled backgrounds and real-time lighting and weather effects.
