Here is another piece of the September 1998 PC gaming mess. Activision’s official Heretic II site has posted some new screenshots of the Ssithra from Heretic II. The Ssithra are amphibian creatures that inhabit a hidden city in Heretic II.

The Ssithra’s AI is so advanced that these creatures will follow you into and out of watery areas. They switch from a swimming animation to hunting you down on foot.
