Monolith to publish Septerra Core

In an agreement with TopWare Interactive for exclusive North American publishing rights, Monolith Productions announces its acquisition of Septerra Core, a highly anticipated role-playing game developed in the US by Chicago-based Valkyrie Studios.

Monolith to publish Septerra Core is the story on November 30, 1998, and it is one of those late-1998 PC gaming updates that says exactly where the scene is right now. In an agreement with TopWare Interactive for exclusive North American publishing rights, Monolith Productions announces its acquisition of Septerra Core, a highly anticipated role-playing game developed in the US by Chicago-based Valkyrie Studios. This anime-style epic will be available on retail shelves in North America in the Fall of 1999.

Septerra Core is a futuristic fable set on a world of seven continents that float, one above the other, around a central, living computer core. With the scope and grandeur of a mythological epic, Septerra Core features strong characters and an intricate storyline set in a fantastical, anime-inspired universe. Gameplay combines traditional role-playing elements, an easy-to-use adventure interface and fast-paced, strategic combat. The business side keeps moving, and sometimes those deals decide what we actually get to play next year.
