Acclaim Australia Announced

Acclaim Entertainment announced it has acquired Digital Leisure's distribution operation in Australia.

Acclaim Australia Announced is the story on November 16, 1998, and it is one of those late-1998 PC gaming updates that says exactly where the scene is right now. Acclaim Entertainment announced today that it has acquired Digital Leisure's distribution operation in Australia. The new subsidiary, Acclaim Australia, is located in Melbourne, Australia with a satellite office in Sydney.

Reporting to Rod Cousens, president of Acclaim International, the new organization will complement Acclaim's worldwide sales, distribution, and marketing strategy. Acclaim Australia will distribute all Acclaim products including Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, NBA Jam 99, and South Park. The business side keeps moving, and sometimes those deals decide what we actually get to play next year.
