Lander DVD Announced

Psygnosis is driving another PC gaming technology milestone with Lander, the company's first DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) game.

Lander DVD Announced is the story on November 11, 1998, and it is one of those late-1998 PC gaming updates that says exactly where the scene is right now. Psygnosis is driving another PC gaming technology milestone with Lander, the company's first DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) game. Delivering MPEG 2 full-motion video sequences with Dolby Digital 5.1 channel music as well as in-game audio and interleaving sound effects to game players for the first time, Lander offers a truly interactive and theatrical experience of both sight and sound to the world of PC games.

The game will be available Spring 1999. Physical releases still matter, especially when the box gives collectors something better than another plain jewel case.
