Sierra to support A3D
Aureal Semiconductor announced that Sierra, one of the largest worldwide publishers of interactive entertainment, productivity and educational software is supporting A3D in several of their hottest titles for the holiday season.
Sierra to support A3D is the story on November 10, 1998, and it is one of those late-1998 PC gaming updates that says exactly where the scene is right now. Aureal Semiconductor announced that Sierra, one of the largest worldwide publishers of interactive entertainment, productivity and educational software is supporting A3D in several of their hottest titles for the holiday season. A3D's psychoacoustic-based audio processing enables stunning positional 3D audio over two speaker systems, in addition to four speaker systems or ordinary headphones.
These highly anticipated games from Sierra include Half-Life, Starsiege and Starsiege TRIBES, are among the most advanced combat simulation/shooter games to become available during the Holiday season. Drivers and hardware updates are not glamorous, but when they fix a game or unlock a card you already paid for, they matter.
