Acclaim Entertainment, today announced that their upcoming PC CD-ROM game, Machines, will ship to retail this April. Machines is a next-generation 3-D real-time strategy game that utilizes the latest technology to deliver visually-stunning and wide-ranging competition with a new perspective on the action. A free shareware version of Machines will be included with every copy of Acclaim’s Turok 2: Seeds of Evil for PC CD-ROM, due to hit store shelves on February 9, 1999.

For January 1999, this is the business side of gaming doing what it always does: studios forming, publishers moving money around, lawsuits flying, and everyone promising the next big thing. Somewhere in that mess, players eventually get the games. Maybe.
