GT Lawsuit against Midway Games

GT Interactive Software, a leading developer, publisher, manufacturer and distributor of entertainment software products, today announced that it has filed a civil complaint against Midway Games and certain related entities. The action, filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, alleges claims for breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, tortious interference with prospective business relations, and defamation.

For January 1999, this is the business side of gaming doing what it always does: studios forming, publishers moving money around, lawsuits flying, and everyone promising the next big thing. Somewhere in that mess, players eventually get the games. Maybe.
