Alpha Centauri goes gold

Firaxis Games and Electronic Arts today announced that the highly anticipated turn-based strategy game, Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, has gone gold in advance of its February ship date. This Brian Reynolds design features a rich science fiction storyline of exploration, discovery, empire building and conquest. In a desperate attempt to save the species, Earth has sent a colony ship to the distant star Alpha Centauri.
