iGames Myth II: Soulblighter Tournament

iGames. announced today an all-star tournament with the game Myth II: Soulblighter, developed by Bungie Software. The tournament is being held in 28 locations in the U.S. and Canada, January 22nd to January 24th, 1999. Creative Labs and Logitech are providing over $20,000 in prizes to winning teams, as well as controllers and other peripherals to all participating game centers.

For January 1999, this is the business side of gaming doing what it always does: studios forming, publishers moving money around, lawsuits flying, and everyone promising the next big thing. Somewhere in that mess, players eventually get the games. Maybe.
