RAGE XL and RAGE XC Chips announced

ATI Technologies today announced the RAGE XL and RAGE XC general purpose graphic accelerator chips.

ATI Technologies today announced the RAGE XL and RAGE XC general purpose graphic accelerator chips. The two new .25 micron graphics chips will provide, at the lowest price-points on the market, high-quality, full AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) 2X acceleration, as well as industry-leading 2D, 3D and video acceleration for corporate computing systems.

For January 1999, this is the business side of gaming doing what it always does: studios forming, publishers moving money around, lawsuits flying, and everyone promising the next big thing. Somewhere in that mess, players eventually get the games. Maybe.
