Micron has chosen the Savage4 hits the March 1999 news desk on March 31, 1999. S3 Incorporated says Micron Electronics has chosen the Savage4 accelerator for its new Client Pro computer systems.

Micron joins S3's growing list of Savage4 customers, which brings wins with three of the top five PC OEMs and virtually every potential add-in-card supplier. S3 also revealed strategic management additions which bring the hiring of Greg van den Dries as VP of corporate marketing and the appointment of Andrew Wolfe. That is the PC hardware treadmill in full sprint: faster chips, cheaper boards, louder claims, and gamers trying to figure out what is worth the money.
