Infogrames to acquire Gremlin

Infogrames Entertainment says the company is offering to acquire Gremlin Group Plc, a major sports video game publisher listed on the London Stock Exchange, in a deal valued at more than $40 million.

The transition brings the purchase of all of Gremlin's 19 million shares at $1.80 per share and 1.8 million options. Founded in 1984 by Ian Stewart, Gremlin is most known for its Actua-Sport video game line for the PC and Sony PlayStation platforms, which brings soccer, golf, tennis, hockey and other titles. Not every story comes with screenshots, but this is the sort of move that changes what players actually see later.
