Electronic Arts Tops PC Gaming Charts hits the March 1999 news desk on March 16, 1999. Electronic Arts says two of the company's recently published titles, Sim City 3000 and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri were February's top selling computer games according to Reston-based PC Data.

Both Sim City 3000 and Alpha Centauri have received critical acclaim from the media and consumers. Sim City 3000, developed by EA's Walnut Creek-based Maxis studio puts players in charge of creating an entire metropolis from the ground-up and keeping their Sim Citizens happy. It is not the loudest kind of gaming news, but the business and community machinery matters. Games do not appear out of thin air.
