KryoTech and AMD Demonstrate Gigahertz Computer is now in gamers’ hands, or at least close enough to start hammering download servers. At the AMD 1999 annual shareholders’ meeting here today, KryoTech and AMD demonstrated the KryoTech Super-G computer running at 1 GHz (1,000 MHz or one billion cycles per second). The Super-G is based on a thermally-accelerated AMD-K7 processor and KryoTech’s newest cooling system. The Super-G is derived from two years of technical cooperation between KryoTech and AMD. KryoTech, the leader of Cool Computing, provides value-added thermal management solutions for the computer and semiconductor industries.
