Tales of the Sword Coast Delayed

Tales of the Sword Coast Delayed made news on April 28, 1999, with Interplay has revealed that heading to stores has been delayed for Tales of the Sword Coast.

Tales of the Sword Coast Delayed is the story today, and it is the kind of late-April 1999 news blast that makes the pre-E3 season feel like someone kicked the hornet nest. Interplay has revealed that heading to stores has been delayed for Tales of the Sword Coast. Between the announcement on IRC last Friday, telling all that the title had gone Gold, and the start of duplication, they discovered that there were stability issues with the multi-player code on TOSC.They’re not sure if these issues existed previously or if they were new, but they didn’t want to let anything go out the door that was anything less than a terrific product. It was one of those quirky situations where you could play the multi-player version for hours and have no problems, or you could log on with friends and have problems within a few minutes. Single player is done and ready to go, and they’re really just concentrating on multi-player.

Bottom line: if this is your kind of game, start watching the download pages and store shelves. April has been stupidly busy, and this one just joined the pile.
