Quake 3 Test Win32 Server Released

Quake 3 Test Win32 Server made news on April 25, 1999, with id software has put out the Quake 3 Test Win32 Server.

Quake 3 Test Win32 Server is now in gamers’ hands, or at least close enough to start hammering download servers. id software has put out the Quake 3 Test Win32 Server. This version of the test allows you to run Win32 dedicated servers only. It does not let you play the test locally on the Win32 machine. They highly recommend Windows NT as a good stable environment for dedicated servers.

Bottom line: if this is your kind of game, start watching the download pages and store shelves. April has been stupidly busy, and this one just joined the pile.
