Desert Fighters Announced

Desert Fighters made news on April 2, 1999, with Dynamix revealed development of Desert Fighters as the next title in the line of Dynamix flight simulations.

Desert Fighters has been revealed today, giving us one more thing to watch as 1999 keeps getting louder. Dynamix revealed development of Desert Fighters as the next title in the line of Dynamix flight simulations. Desert Fighters, scheduled to head to stores in October 1999, is a World War II-based, low-level, in-your-face air combat simulation that depicts the struggle for North Africa between March 1941 and December 1943. gamers of Desert Fighters can participate in campaigns of varying lengths, from a full length campaign with approximately 200 missions to a short campaign with about 50 missions, each of which starts at different points in the war. For the first time in a Dynamix flight sim, dynamic campaigns allow gamers to affect the course of the battle based on performance in the air.

It may not be the same thrill as a fresh demo, but this stuff shapes what actually reaches players. Boring paperwork today can turn into games on shelves tomorrow.
