Diamond Multimedia USB Cable Modem Announced

Diamond Multimedia USB Cable Modem is now on the board. Diamond Multimedia Systems announced the submission of a USB cable modem product to Cable Television Laboratories, for inclusion in the third wave of certification testing to be conducted this year.

This latest wave of testing began on May 13, 1999 and the announcement for approved modems will occur on June 21, 1999. The increasing number of multiple PC households is helping to drive the growth of both the Internet access and home networking markets. Diamond Multimedia plans to deliver a total home communications solution by offering broadband devices that deliver faster Internet connections and HomeFree home networking products capable of distributing the higher bandwidth among all networked PCs in a home.
